whenever we get a couple inches of rain the springhouse overflows and this is what results.
before the invention of indoor plumbing, springhouses were built where natural springs flowed. they would catch the water for use in the home. however significant amounts of rain will cause overflow.
when the springhouse overflows the water leaks into the patio and fills that up as well
although this does give me some interesting opportunities for pictures as the cats have to make the jump to get to the house
old Polly doesn't seem to care
